Seven ministries. All of them short-handed.
A church is not the two hours it meets — it is what those people do with the rest of the week. Here is every ministry we run, what it actually involves, and how you get into it.

01 · Outreach in the Ruhr area
One Soul Ministry
The ministry that goes outside. Street conversations, invitations, practical help for people in Herten and the surrounding towns — the conviction being that one soul is worth an entire evening.
- Street and doorstep outreach
- Invitations to the Tuesday gathering
- Practical help where it is needed
02 · Learning to pray, not performing it
Prayer Academy
Prayer taught as a craft: how to start, what to do with silence, how to pray for someone else without making a show of it. Beginners are the point, not the exception.
- Guided prayer evenings
- Prayer for your request, in confidence
- Intercession for the city

03 · Worship in five languages
Music Ministry
The band and singers who carry the room on a Wednesday. Songs are sung in more than one language on purpose — if you play, sing or run sound, there is a place for you here.
- Band, vocals and sound desk
- Multilingual song sets
- Open rehearsal before the service
04 · For teenagers and young adults
Youth Ministry
A room where young people from very different backgrounds end up in the same circle of chairs — faith taken seriously, questions taken even more seriously.
- Own circle at the midweek gatherings
- Mentoring and honest Q&A
- Space to lead, not only attend

05 · The table where nobody eats alone
House of Hope
Shared meals, welcome for newcomers to Germany, and quiet help when a week goes wrong. This is where the words multicultural and open church stop being a claim and become a table.
- Shared meals after the gathering
- Arrival help for newcomers
- Support in hard weeks, discreetly
06 · Two generations, one room
Women & Children
A women's circle that meets around the gatherings, and a looked-after corner for the children so that their parents can actually be present. Bring your kids — genuinely.
- Women's circle and mentoring
- Looked-after children's corner
- Family-friendly evening times

07 · Making things, together
Ministry of Creativity
Media, design, film, textiles, stage. Everything you see and hear on a Wednesday was made by someone in this church — and the door into it is simply asking to help.
- Media, film and photography
- Design and stage
- Craft and textile projects
Where the names come from
Every one of these has a person’s name on it — and room for yours.
Nothing here runs on staff. The band, the welcome at the door, the meals, the children’s corner, the camera — all of it is somebody who turned up one Tuesday and then stayed. That is genuinely how everyone here started.
Seven ministries, and every one of them is short of hands rather than short of members. Turning up once is the whole application process.
The simplest route in
You do not have to choose a ministry to start.
Come to a Tuesday, sit at the back, see who is in the room. Everything on this page is still there next week — and the week after that.
